May 6, 2012; Sunday

Today is officially Hanson Day, but we held the events Friday and Saturday doing two concerts, bowling, the store had been open, an art gallery, and we did the State of the Band talk. I was so grateful that Amanda had been out for the weekend because it kept Emily company while I was busy and it also meant when she got sick as hell, someone was with her. I had let her sleep in some but we really needed cleaning stuff and groceries, I knew she didn’t really want to go out but I sweet talked her into coming with me anyway. We left at 9 and I drove to the mall first, where I insisted she look at maternity clothes.

“Zachary, I’m not even showing.”

“Eventually you will be, may as well be prepared.”

Eventually she relented and looked at the racks of clothes, choosing some shorts, pants, and a couple of shirts. She also picked out a few gowns and while she did that I recalled needing some replacement boxer briefs and found a few shirts of my own.

“You know we haven’t told the fans and if someone takes a picture of this…”

“Let them speculate, we can announce it sometime later this month.”

She rolled her eyes at me and just followed me around, I had put a list in my phone of items we needed like laundry detergent, cleaning products, dish soap, and refills for the little mop thing we used. She just pushed the buggy and let me get what we needed. The grocery store was on the other side of our house though, so once we were done here we’d go there.

“Are we really this low on stuff?”

I smiled. “Afraid so, most of this is stuff we’re out of. It’s why I don’t have clean underwear, I went to wash clothes yesterday and we didn’t have anything to wash them with.”

“So, you’re saying you’re not wearing any underwear then?”

I looked at her and smiled again. “I’m not.”

“Interesting…But, I will be nice.”

“How are you feeling?”

“Eh, tired. But, at least breakfast is staying down and I don’t feel like puking.”

“That’s good.”

We finished getting what we needed and because I was starving she agreed to stop at Mexicali for lunch, she ordered lighter though and neither of us knew how Mexican food would affect her. Lunch was nice and quiet, a few people seen us but nothing major. We agreed to drop off the stuff in the truck and then go to the grocery store, so we left the restaurant and I started home. She seemed fine.

“Zac…”

“Yeah honey?

“I’m feeling a little nausea and a little dizzy.”

“We’re close to Casey, he won’t mind if we drop by.”

“I don’t care where you…..” she paused a moment. “go.”

I glanced at her and she surely did look quite sick, so I sped up and I was sure my wild ass driving didn’t make it better but I wanted to make it to Casey’s house before she got too sick. We pulled into his driveway at 12:35; I noticed a strange car in the driveway a metallic blue Chevy Equinox. He hadn’t mentioned a new vehicle but she didn’t have time for me to contemplate, I ran around the car and got her out and then went ahead and unlocked the door, we had a key still. She went straight through to the bathroom, making it just in time before everything came up, including breakfast.

It was something I hadn’t ever been fine with, but given how sick she’s been for the last few weeks I was now ok to sit beside her as she threw up. I kneeled beside her and moved her hair, rubbed her back and waited.

“Emily? Zac?” Casey asked.

“Sorry Casey, she was fine until we started home and she got to feeling sick. We were close to you so I just came here.”

“Oh no, that’s fine! I just seen people run by and I was confused. Is she ok?”

“She will be. Um, did you buy a new car or do you have company and if it’s company I hope we didn’t interrupt.”

“Its company and no we were just sitting down to talk. It’s Max and his friend Maddilyn. You remember Max right?”

“Vaguely yes, I remember you telling me a little about him. I’ll stay with Emily and we’ll come up soon. Um, just don’t tell them why she’s sick. We haven’t announced it to the world yet.”

He smiled. “I wouldn’t do that.”

He closed the door and returned to the front, I got a wash rag and wet it with cold water and wiped her face off. She sat on the floor of the bathroom waiting, sometimes she’d get sick again and sometimes she wouldn’t.

“Ok, I think I’m ok now.”

I helped her up and watched her sway a moment. “Emily?”

“I’m ok.”

“Casey has guests in case you weren’t paying us any attention. You ok to be social?”

“Yeah.”

We walked back to the living room and Casey was in the love seat, his guests were on the sofa. I recognized Max from a picture he had shown me, the man hadn’t changed much. I had seen this handsome young man when he was 18, just a photo though, he was still handsome and looked young, his hair was now clipped shorter and looked wild, but the same brownish blonde color. His eyes were still pretty to me, deep Hazel; it was something Casey had said he liked about him.

The young lady on the couch I had never seen but she had pretty green eyes that sparkled and her hair was a soft shade of red and flowed down her shoulders in waves. She had some freckles but otherwise she was fair skinned and I couldn’t tell if she wore make-up or not.

Casey smiled. “This is Max and Maddilyn, but she prefers Maddi. Guys, this is Emily and Zac Hanson.”

Both of them said Hi to us and we smiled back with hellos of our own.

“I don’t mean to pry, but are you ok?” Maddi asked.

Emily smiled at her. “It’s ok, I am now. We were headed home and I just got sick. Casey was close by.”

Maddi kind of smiled. “Oh, ok, that’s good. I was pretty sick in my pregnancy as well until recently.”

I glanced to Casey, I had specifically told him not to say anything! How did this lady know Emily was pregnant?

“How did you know I was pregnant? We haven’t really told anyone outside friends and family…” Emily said.

Maddi turned to Max with this knowing grin; Max slightly moved his eyes to her but kept his head facing us.

“Casey, are you already telling secrets?”

He held up his hands. “No!”

Maddi frowned some. “I just sensed that was what was going on, no one told me. I didn’t mean to get anyone in trouble. You have my word I won’t tell anyone.”

“It’s ok; I mean I guess someone running through to throw up the natural assumption is pregnancy. You said you are expecting as well?”

She smiled widely. “Yes, I’m about 18 weeks, the size of a bell pepper or a can of soda depending on what chart I look at… At 15 weeks I stopped puking my brains out. I promise it gets better.”

Did she just compare her baby to a bell pepper and soda? Weird.

Emily smiled weakly. “I’m at 16 now and I’ve been throwing up pretty much everything for weeks now. It kind of sucks I was expecting to eat whatever I wanted…”

Maddi smiled. “Give it another week or so, you will.”

Max got up and came over to me. “Too much estrogen,” he extended his hand and I shook it. “Zac, it’s nice to meet you.”

Casey giggled. “Get over the estrogen Max.”

I smiled. “Yeah, I am Zac. It’s nice to finally actually meet you; I’ve seen pictures back when you and Casey dated, although, Casey didn’t tell me much about you.”

Max laughed. “Well, I’m not very interesting. So there isn’t much to tell.”

Maddi rolled her eyes at him. “Whatever Max, don’t listen to him. He’s a great guy.”

Emily giggled. “You never know who we find interesting. We are friends with Casey after all.”

I laughed deeply. “Well, Casey has always been kind of private with his personal life. So, I know you two dated a bit and then had some kind of arrangement.”

Casey smiled. “What can I say, I don’t kiss and tell!”

Max smirked some. “Let’s just say Casey taught me how to take it like a woman and give it like a man.”

Maddi and Casey both choked some. “MAX!!!”

I just stood there a little speechless and I could feel the redness in my face already.

“Um…well Ok…I guess Casey’s a good teacher in that department. Zac? Baby, are you ok?” Emily asked.

I could just vaguely nod.

“What? Too soon?” Max asked.

Maddi looked at him. “Too soon? A year after never would still be too soon!”

Casey looked at him. “You never told me that, I’m not sure how to take it. Excuse Zac, he has this strange aversion to all things sex related. I am sure he’ll be fine Emily.”

Max smiled widely. “Why do you think I made you dress like a teacher Casey? I was your student. You loved it remember?”

I just moved to the chair by the door to do something, I didn’t expect Emily to sit in my lap but she did. “Zac?”

“I’m ok.” I said.

Casey grinned. “Teacher/student was always my favorite role playing game. Right Zachary?”

I just stared at him and said nothing, had he really fucking said that out loud with these two strangers here?! Was he seriously implying that he taught me anything? I recall Emily saying he was going to watch and learn.

“Max! I think your horrifying poor Zac. I have known you most of my life and never heard you talk like this.” She said.

“Max, have you been hiding your bad self from your best friend?” Casey asked.

Emily laughed. “Zac horrifies easily when it comes to sexual things. I assure you, he’s use to language like this and he’s fine. He’ll warm up in a bit.”

“Casey, I just told her this morning that I was gay.”

“Correction, I told you.” She smirked.

“I was afraid to tell her. Stupid I know but it is what it is.”

“Well, I told you years ago that as good of a friend as she is, she would understand and be ok with it. Did I not teach you that?”

Seeing the direction of the conversation I squeezed Emily’s thigh kind of hard and she looked at me.

“I’m not sure about them knowing more…” I whispered.

She kissed my forehead and leaned next in very close to me. “Casey knows them Zac, he wouldn’t say anything if they couldn’t be trusted, I am….”

“Apparently he needs a reminder lesson.” She said.

Max looked at her shocked and she just smiled. “What? You don’t think I know how to get down? I am pregnant you know.”

Emily had stopped mid-sentence as Maddi had said something about lessons. Emily rose up some and I could tell what she was thinking about the basement. She had trouble with some words, lessons was one. She had paled a bit also but she was trying to hide those thoughts. I slipped my hand under the back of her shirt and gently rubbed her back. She looked at the others, because the room had gotten quiet.

Maddi suddenly got up and ran into the kitchen where she threw up in the sink; she seemed to barely make it there! Max was quick to follow her and then Casey. Emily got up and I followed. Maddi turned and she looked very pale.

“I am so sorry I will clean this up, I don’t know…” She then passed out!

Max was first to reach her, was screaming her name. But, Emily stood there a moment and then bolted down the hallway. I followed her, she was my personal priority. Even as Emily threw up again, I could hear Max trying to wake up Maddi. It was clear he may be gay but he loved Maddi, their friendship was strong. Emily was fine after a few minutes and after sitting there a few extra minutes we returned to the front. Maddi was sitting up now with Max and Casey on either side.

“Maddi, are you alright? I’ve had some moments where I felt like passing out, but I never have. But it seems like there was something else.” Emily asked

“I agree Maddi, are you ok? Don’t worry about the sink I’ll clean it right quick. You sit here until you feel better.” Casey said and he then proceeded to rinse the sink out and even lite the candle there.

“I’m sorry. Thank you Casey, I am so embarrassed. I sometimes get these visions and feelings, after I said lessons I instantly felt pain throughout my body and felt like I was trapped. When I turned to you guys I saw blood and Emily on the floor.”

Casey turned to her. “It’s ok really. You’re expecting and I probably should have told you where the bathroom was, but we understand if you can’t make it, you can’t make it.”

Emily looked a little confused and I was confused and a bit pissed, not many people knew Emily had laid there bleeding.

“When you saw blood and me…what do you mean?”

She got Max’s arm and he helped her up, she then looked at her. “It happened so fast. It was just a flash of you on the floor bleeding. I don’t know why, but it was seriously a lot of blood.” I looked around the kitchen a bit confused. “However, the kitchen wasn’t this colorful. It seemed to be whiter.”

I looked at Casey, pissed that he would have told them. “Casey, have you told them what happen? We asked you not to tell anyone.”

She looked at us. “Zac, I didn’t even know who you and Emily were. Well, I know you’re in the band Hanson but not much else.”

Casey looked at Zac. “I haven’t told them anything.”

“I promise you both no one has told me anything. I have never had such a strong vision like this. I feel horrible for freaking out and scaring you all.”

“We can stand to be freaked out sometimes. But just...you not knowing and seeing it…” Zac trailed off.

“I think I need some air, Casey do you have a back yard?”

“Sure, down the hallway it’s the door to the right, it’s tiny but there is some chairs there.” He replied.

She went down the hallway and we heard the door close a few moments later.

I glanced at Emily and she looked somewhere between confused, perplexed, and curious.

“I should probably check on her.” Max said.

He started down to leave but Emily stopped him. “If you don’t mind, I think I will. Maybe some fresh air will help me as well. I know she doesn’t know me or anything but maybe she needs a girl to talk too right now.”

He nodded, it was clear Max wasn’t use to dealing with women that much. I let her go, Emily could handle herself and I was sure she’d be fine.

The three of us went to the living room, seeing as the two ladies would return when they felt like it. I went with the chair again, because I didn’t know Max that well and I didn’t want to sit beside either of them. It was quiet I was wondering what they were talking about outside.

“So…Max where are you guys headed anyway?”

“Maysville, she’s going back home. She moved to Kansas with her husband but he was killed and she wanted to go home and be around family and friends.”

“That’s what 3 hours from here Zac?”

“Yeah, something like that. My Aunt Rebecca lived there for a while before moving to the city.”

“Was her last name Hanson?” Max asked.

“It was when she lived there, not anymore. Why?”

“I remember a Rebecca Hanson at the bank, she use to give me suckers when my mom and I went there. She was nice and always great with kids.”

“She still is great with kids.”

“Man, what a small world.”

Casey laughed. “It is! I didn’t think you and Zac would ever be in the same room, at the same time.”

I looked at him. “Are you thinking perverted thoughts Casey?”

Max smiled. “It’s always nice to meet someone Casey never stopped talking about.”

Max winked at Casey and I wondered what he meant, certainly he couldn’t be referring to me.

“Never stopped talking about huh?” I smirked.

“Not only that you should hear the things he says in his sleep.” Max smiled after that.

“Max…” Casey’s tone was warning and not playful but my brain must have shut the fuck down because the words that tumbled from my mouth shouldn’t have.

“I’ve heard him talking in his sleep before, although I don’t recall anything sexual.”

Yeah, I knew the moment they looked at me that I’d said too much. What the hell brain, surely I couldn’t have affected hormones like Emily!

“You were sleeping close enough to hear him?”

“Um…well the buses are close knit and if your loud enough yeah, you can hear one another.”

Max looked at me for several minutes, I was more than positive that he was not believing that line. But then his stare changed, it was like he was studying me for something and then he looked at Casey.

“Wait, wait…this is THE Zac?”

I looked between them utterly confused, had I not already told him my name was Zac? Why was he asking Casey that question and why did Casey look mortified? He started to speak but Max beat him to the punch.

“This is THE Zac you had me dress up as?” Max asked.

What. the. fuck? Did Max just ask say Casey had him dress up like me?! I could feel the blood in my face, could feel the shaking and I really wanted to get Emily and go the fuck home.

“Um…I…well…Damnit Max! Who the hell did you think I was referring too?”

“I don’t know! We had two or three friends named Zac, most were blonde. I just never put two and two together, until now. I know who Hanson is, but I’m not like obsessed with them! Fuck. You even had the blonde wig and drumsticks, I should have known.”

I was stunned. I wasn’t sure really what to say or do or how to even respond to that. Casey had this guy dress up like me and that was long ago, fuck I wasn’t even 20 when he dated Max! He’d never mentioned that to me!

“Max...I told you I was at their retreats and it was when I came back that I’d asked…seriously?”

“I just thought it was a fantasy guy, I didn’t know you meant the real actual Zac Hanson!”

“Sorry.” Casey said.

Casey looked at me. “Zac? Are you ok?”

“You asked him to dress up like me for some role playing game that I assumed involved sex?” I asked.

“Oh yeah, sex was involved for sure. I think his favorite position for that fantasy was facing me.” Max said.

“I never thought you and I would ever do anything and at the time you were with Kate and you seemed happy. He’s making it sound like I asked all the time; it was like two or three times, after we broke up.”

“So it IS this Zac?” Max asked

“It was me?” I asked.

We’d ask our questions at the same time and Casey sighed heavily.

“Yes, it’s this Zac. Emily told you I had a crush on you Zachary.”

“A crush yes. But you never told me that you asked someone to dress up like me and then had sex with them, I mean Jesus Casey that’s a little weird!”

“That’s weird? Really Zac? Of all the things that we’ve done that’s what you find weird?”

Max again looked at me and then Casey. “Wait, the two of you have had sex? But, you’re married to a girl whose pregnant…I’m so confused.”

I looked at Casey. “Can I talk to you alone for a moment?”

He got up and followed me to the kitchen. “Really Casey? You know I don’t want anyone else to know.”

“Relax Zac. Max is a good friend of mine and he won’t tell anyone else. He’s pretty much figured it out already and you can’t totally blame me, you are freaking out.”

“I have a right too! You asked him to dress up like me, why didn’t you just tell me then?”

“Um, because if I had approached you and been like Hey Zac can I fuck you, I’m pretty sure you would have knocked me out.”

“Well, if you worded it that way, yeah I would have.”

He looked at me a moment. “Are you saying if I worded it differently, you would have maybe agreed?”

Fuck! Hello? Brain, are you working correctly up there? I had no idea how to answer that question.

“Zachary.” He said.

“I don’t know Casey, maybe I would have agreed. It’s not like being with Kate was fantastic at the time and you always made me feel appreciated and wanted. I just never saw the signals as more and be real dude, you were also dating a woman at that time. Granted, she was the last one. But, that’s the problem, I don’t know him.”

“He won’t tell anyone Zac, he’s not mentioned anything I’ve done and you know my kinks. He appreciates and values privacy as much as I do.”

I looked at him. “Fine, but I swear to god Casey if he goes to some magazine with this and publishes it somewhere I am going to beat your ass until you can’t move, let along sit down.”

He held his hands up. “I’ll tell him not to tell anyone.”

We returned to the living room and sat down, Casey chose to sit beside Max but I maintained my seat in the chair.

“Sorry Max, but Zac and Emily are very private people and no one knows what we’ve done and not done…However whatever you hear you can’t tell anyone else for any reason.”

“Hey, what any of you do in your private lives is your business. I understand their need and yours for privacy. I’m not going to be telling anyone.”

“We’d just appreciate it because no one needs to know. Likewise, we won’t tell anyone about you.” I said.

“So…then you two have had sex? But, I know you’re not gay Zac, I mean you’re married and she’s pregnant for crying out loud.”

“We’ve had an agreement for what, over a year now?” Casey asked.

“Yeah. I guess if I had to label myself it would be bi-sexual, but really the only man I’ve ever been with is Casey and I don’t plan to expand that. My wife, Emily is fully aware of what we do. She called him for the first time and none of us do anything without all three being present. So, she is always involved.”

“So, she does what? Watches you two?”

“Yes and no, sometimes she watches, sometimes I do, sometimes Casey does, and sometimes we all participate.  The constant is that we don’t do anything without all of us present.” I said.

“Damn Casey, you get around dude. You’re sure that baby is Zac’s?”

“Positive.  When she got pregnant I wasn’t around. We’re careful as well, they told me when they stopped using protection but you know me, I’m all about safe sex.”

I smiled. “Trust me the baby is mine. I know the date she conceived and all.”

He smiled some. “So, he’s your crush. Not bad, no worries Zac, you’re not my type.”

“Thank god, Ems brother married a fan who’s obsessed with me, and one of her sibling’s boyfriends is obsessed with me. It’s weird.”

“Awe, come on you like it when they fawn on you.” Casey said.

“No. I’m fine not being fawned over unless it’s Emily, she may fawn all she wants.”

They both smiled at me.

“Is Casey still a freak in the bedroom?” Max asked.

“Define freak.” I said.

Casey laughed and Max smiled. “We’ll let’s see, there is this role playing kink he has he likes to dress people up as you apparently.”

“No, you’re the only one dude.” Casey said.

“Well, sadly he hasn’t asked me to dress up as myself, but there was that army costume and he’s asked me to dress like a nurse.”

“NO! You are not blaming that on me! Emily asked you first. I just relished in the glory later.”

Max tried not to laugh but did. “He never asked me to dress like a nurse, even though I was in school for that! What else, he liked to try different places, including public places.”

“Nope, no public places here but then again I won’t do public even with my wife. Different places, sure I’ll go with that.”

“Do you get to top and bottom?” Max asked.

I glanced at Casey. “I have done both yes among other things.”

“How does your wife not freak out?”

Casey and I both laughed. “She’s worse than both of us Max; I mean most of Zac’s kinks she found.”

“Damn skippy, she’s the only one that could.”

“So, she’s cool with everything? That’s nice. She said you had this aversion to sex.” Max smirked.

“Yeah, I mean I won’t be talking details, I’m your typical red blooded man I like sex a lot. I just don’t like talking about it with a lot of people, so…how about we go with you went to school to be a nurse, is that what you do now?”

“I’m an RN at a hospital in Maysville. I moved to California to get away and go to college, that’s where I met Casey and then after school I came home and got a job at the hospital. It’s been nice. I would ask, but I know what you do already. I think everyone in Oklahoma does.”

“Yeah, most do. I have a brother in law whose spouse works at a hospital, saved Emily’s life when she was shot a few years ago. We are grateful for this person.”

“Got to love us nurses and doctors.” He grinned.

“Definitely.” I said.

We idly chatted about work, tours, traveling, and it was clear that Maddi was a good friend of his. I was wondering what the hell they could be talking about. We heard the door about 2:45 and the bathroom door closed and a few moments later Maddi walked into the living room. We all looked at her, but she looked at me.

“I said burritos and off she went.”

I frowned. “It’s what we had for lunch.”

I got up and went to check on her, found her sitting in the floor breathing deeply.

“Now I get sick at the mentioning of food?” She asked astonished.

I got a wet rag and washed her face off. “Not to be all crazy but I kind of like when you’re sick, gives me someone to tend too. But, yeah this is getting ridiculous.”

She raised an eyebrow at me. “You may enjoy it but I don’t, even if you are tending to me.”

She got up slowly and we walked back to the front, found Maddi sitting beside Max.

“Sorry, I’ve never gotten sick at the mentioning of food!”

“No need for sorry, I wasn’t even thinking when I said the B word, if anyone should be sorry. It’s me, and I am.” She started to giggle some. “That didn’t really make sense, but I am sorry.”

Max looked at her. “Hey Maddi, your pregnant brain is showing!”

Maddi shot him a quick glare, kind of reminded me of Emily’s shut it looks.

“It’s fine really. This crap better stop soon though, poor Zac can’t go another five months without his Mexican food.”

“I can always get Mexican when I’m at work.” I said.

Maddi looked at her. “It should get better soon and Zac, if she’s anything like I was, she wouldn’t be able to even smell it on your breathe without getting sick.”

I stared at her blankly for a moment. “So far that hasn’t been an issue, but I keep mouth wash at work.”

Emily smiled at me. “Better use it then.”

“Hopefully you won’t have too.  Anyways, I hate to do this but I think I am ready to get out get some food then rest. I still feel a little out of it from earlier.”

Emily sighed. “Yeah, we unfortunately have to go to the grocery store. That sounds like fun! Mentioning food and seeing it? Perfect combination!”

“I can go alone…” I said.

Casey smirked. “Hah, yeah right Zac. You’d come home with junk food and soda. I am sure you’ll be fine Ems.”

Casey then looked to Maddi and Max as they got up. “Alright, I understand everyone is tired of me.”

I grinned at him, probably looked evil to the others. “Well, I mean everyone here has had a piece of you, well, except Maddi.”

It took Maddi a moment. “Wait, Max..?”

Max looked at her sheepishly. “I didn’t know until today, but I was sworn to secrecy by Zac.”

Emily looked at me confused. “I told them.”

I relaxed some because Emily wasn’t giving me her patent look for paddle time. “Oh, well it’s ok if Max tells her. She won’t say anything.”

She looked at each of us. “What is going on? Maybe…I don’t even want to know.”

We all giggled but Maddi. “Well, Max can fill you in when he has time.”

Casey smiled. “Zac and Ems I’ll see you tomorrow I am sure at the studio. Max, you have my number and I live here in Tulsa now so don’t be strangers.”

“Um, you’ll see Zac for sure. I don’t know about me.”

Maddi smiled and shook our hands. “It was nice meeting all of you, Emily, thank you for the talk; it was nice to have a female point of view.”

Emily smiled and turned to Casey. “No problem. Um, Casey can you write down my e-mail for her? We’re parked behind them anyway.”

I took Emily’s hand. “Likewise, I am sure we’ll run into each other again at some point.”

We waved to them and said byes one more time before we left the house. She was fine on the drive home and helped unload what I’d let her. I left everything in the floor of the kitchen or on the table and then we headed to the grocery store. She did fine inside and only got slightly nauseas when we passed the deli; evidently they were frying something in old oil. I made sure to get extra oil, no reusing it for a bit. When we got home I sent her to the living room while I put everything up. I went to ask what she wanted for dinner and found her asleep, so I rummaged and found something that I prayed wouldn’t make her sick all night.

Chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. If she can’t keep that down, god help me.

I woke her up when it was done and we sat down in the dining room.

“So, you and Maddi have a good talk?”

“We did, she apparently has some psychic type abilities.”

I looked at her strangely. “Like seeing ghosts and stuff?”

“No. She didn’t mention anything about seeing ghosts or like that. She said she sometimes has feelings like she can sense when things are wrong. She also has dreams about events. She said seeing me on the floor was a first time occurrence.”

“Long as she doesn’t try to read my fortune or something I am good.”

“She had a stalker too Zac. Only her stalker killed her husband.”

She told me what Maddi had said about the night her husband died and I felt bad for her but as a man I felt proud of what Trevor had done.

“You know Emily I would have done the same thing if I were in that situation.”

She smiled at me. “You did Zac, you knew Adam wouldn’t stop so you protected me and killed him. The different is you didn’t die and her husband did.”

“So, she has a stalker now? I’m not sure she’s someone we should talk too.”

“No, he was arrested and he’s in jail now. So, no worries there! God help me I can’t handle a stalker now.”

“Are you going to try to work through the pregnancy?”

She looked at me. “3CG would fall apart if I stayed home the rest of this pregnancy. I can’t guarantee I’ll be there every day or that I won’t spend a lot of time on the sofa. But, I’m going to try.”

“Ok. I’ll let Taylor and Isaac knows what’s up.”

Her phone beeped and she looked down. “Casey sent me Maddi’s e-mail so I’ll know it’s her.”

“Why e-mail?”

“Well, I did just meet her and I would like to know her a little better before I add the number. I can’t even guarantee she’ll send me anything anyway.”

Four minutes later she was in the bathroom, couple more weeks I thought as I dragged myself to the bathroom. I hated how she sounded when she was throwing up. I got my usual rag and after she was ok we went ahead and lay down. I didn’t hear her get up, but I was sure she did because she’d changed clothes in the middle of the night.
